DICKENS FELLOWSHIP

The study of "David Copperfield" was continued by the Auckland Dickens Fellowship last evening, when Mr.' H. G. Robinson presided over a large attendance. The programme, embracing chapters 22 to 21, was in tho charge of Mr. G. Cruiokshank, who supplied several connective readings, and was assisted by the followinc readers: —"Stcorforth in Sad Mood," Mr. A. Iv Grindrod; "Miss Mowcher," Miss Chalmers; "Km'ly and Martha," Mrs. Cruiokshank; "David Chooses llis (Jailing," Miss Harosnapo; "Mrs. Crupp." Miss I'ii I lock; "David's Kirst Dissipation," Miss Manning. The readings were followed by a short account of the history of "Doctors' ('ominous," given by Mr. Cruiokshank. Mr. A. \Y. Marks supplemented this address with some particulars of his personal knowledge of the subject.
