DEFENCE VOTES

COMMONS APPROVES LONDON, July 20 In view of tho recent decision by Labour members of the House of Commons not to oppose the Government's rearmament plans, exceptional interest was taken in tho House to-day in the vote on tho Navy Estimates. Tho four members of the Independent Laijour Party challenged a division, during which tho Labour benches remained almost fdled with members who did not vote.

Tho Estimates were carried by 320 votes to 9., Tho Army and Air Estimates were accorded similar treatment.
