[CONCRETE FOOTPATH SCHEME

Authority for the .employment of 24 men . for four months on the construction of four miles of concrete footpaths -was received from the Labour Department at the Otahuhu Borough Council's last meeting. A request from the Otahuhu branch of the Labour Party for permission to screen films 011 Sunday evening, was referred to the legal and finance committee.

The building inspector reported that eight permits had been issued for buildings to the value of £2152.
