MOUNT MORGAN OUTPUT [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Mount Morgan, Limited (Sydney), has cabled the Stock Exchange Association the production report for the four weeks ended July 21, as follows:—Ore mined, -19,500 tons; ore treated by sulphide, 27,600 tons; oxidised, 22,09S tons; estimated production of gold, •iOOOoz.: copper, 119 tons. In the previous four weeks gold won amounted to 44220z. and copper 120 tons. YIELDS OF COMPANIES Talisman Dubbo (Ivarangahake).— Fifty-six tons of ore were treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £4BB. Waitalni (Reefton). —Further partial wash-up in paddock No. 13, return of 330z. 6dwt. for 24 eight-hour shifts. This makes total of 740z. won from this paddock since elevating operations commenced on June 11. BARRYTOWN OPERATIONS The Barrytown Gold Dredging Company (Reefton) reports that the dredge worked 147 hours during the first half of July, covering 44,000 cubic yards, and producing 2020z. of smelted gold. It is anticipated that full power will be available before the end of the month, when full time will again be worked.
EMPEROR MINES FINANCE The holders of options over certain shares in Emperor Mines, Limited (PijDfhave agreed to .assist the company to finance the completion of the new treatment plant on the property at Tavua, by subscribing for a proportion of the shares before the due date,. March 18. The option over 52,450 shares, fully paid to 10s a share, has therefore been exercised, and the shares have been issued. ZINC CORPORATION MILL The Zinc Corporation, Limited (Melbourne)', has decided to remove nt an early opportunity the whole of its mill .to the Freeman Shaft, on the property at Broken Mill. The design for the new mill has been nearly completed, and contracts have been let for the bin floor and for the steel and iron building. The decision to erect the new mill has been brought about by the concentration of work at the Freeman Shaft. WESTERN AUSTRALIA OUTPUT The gold production of Western Australia for June was 51,60.'!0/.., valued at £710,007, -compared with 85,4-lOoz. in May, and 71,2310z. in Juno, 1936. The >yield for the six months ended June* .'!0 was 471,0550z, against :?81.i:!7o/.. for the first, .half of 193 G. Tho production for the first half of !«)•>/ was the largest for any half-year since 1917 and exceeded the annual production 'from 1925 to 1930 inclusive.
