AMERICAN SEAMEN CREW OF GOLDEN BEAR (Received JuJy 12, 5.5 p.m.) HONOLULU. July 11 Captain Olsen of the American freighter Golden Bear stated on his arrival at Honolulu to-day that lie had lost his r.'ulio operator but by heroic measures had rescued 750 persons from disaster when the two great volcanic eruptions caused havoc in the town of Eabaul, New Guinea, on May 29. The crew risked the envelopment of the Ehip with all hands by lava. They went ashore and led women and children from, the town.
