COMMERCIAL BANK HIGHER YEAR'S DIVIDEND PAYMENT OF 6 2-3 PER CENT [by TELEGRAPH I'IIESS association] Wellington; Friday The manager of the Commercial Bank of Australia in New Zealand, lias been advised bv tho head office in Melbourne that the directors will recommend a final dividend at tho rate of 4 per cent per annum on preference shares, and at tho rate of 6 2-3 per cent per annum on ordinary shares, payable in Australian currency. Interim dividend on ordinary shares was 3 1-3 per cent "and the current payment at the same rate makes the distribution for tho year G 2-3 per emit, against 5 0-6 per cent for the previous year. ELECTROLYTIC ZINC DIVIDEND AND BONUS EQUAL TO 171 PER CENT [nv TKLEGRAI-H PKKSS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Friday Tho Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia, Limited, Melbourne, has advised tho Stock Exchange Association that a dividend of 9 per cent has been declared on both ordinary and preference shares for the half-year ended June 30, making 15 per cent for the year, together with a bonus of 6d a share, payable on September 10. Last year tho distribution was 10 per cent on both ordinary and preference shares. In 1935 tho payment was 5 per cent on ordinary shares and 8 per cent on preference shares. Four per cent was paid in 193-1, but prior to that there had been no ordinary dividend since 10 per cent was distributed in x 1930. The present distribution, including tho bonus, is equal to 17J per cent. The highest payment in recent years was 12 per cent in 1929.
