RUSSIA ON THE EVE

An account of Russia on the evo of tho revolution is furnished in Vladimir Krymov's novel, "lie's Got a Million," which has been translated from the Russian by Maurice. Burr. The second volume of a saga, "He's Got a. Alillion," tells of Moscow's wealthy citizens and the magnificence of the palaces and the ballet. In parts tho story appears to bo very much exaggerated, particularly in regard to the .wealth and extravagance of somo of tho people described. But the author, in a foreword, states that this is not so. Tho characters, ho assures us, are based on personalities known to him and tho incidents on actual occurrences.

"Hit's Got a Million," by Vladimir Kryinov (Allen and Unwin).
