"I SHALL GET HIM" TAXI-DRIVER TRAPS THIEF Committed for trial at Marylebone, Harry Jackson, aged 34, salesman, c£ Regent's Park, London uttered tint threat: "When 1 come out I shall pack a gun and get him." The threat was directed against a taxicab driver, . who, -in the role of amateur detective, was responsible for the arrest of Jackson on a charge of stealing a trunk, containing jewellery and clothing to the value of £'oG 10s, from an unattended motor-car in Cumberland Terrace. The taxicab driver, Charles Horrocks, who was allowed to withhold his address, stated that lie was hailed in Regent's Park by Jackson, and drove him to Cumberland Place. There Jackson got Horrocks to collect a trunk from a doorstep and drive him first to a cafe next door to the Camden Hippodrome, and from there to l)clancey Street, where ho alighted and took the trunk to an address in Albert Street. ,Horrocks thought at first that accused might be a butler leaving his post, but, noticing his nervousness, ho became suspicious and went to a police station He was reporting the facts to an officer when in walked Miss Elizabeth Jacqueline Raver.at, a student, of Ba\swater, the owner of the trunk, to report her loss.
