MEETINGS OF BRANCHES A donation of five guineas was made to the Truby King Karitane Hospital at a meeting of the Birkenhead Plunket Committee, held this week. The president, Mrs. N. J. Campbell, reported that the Government had, granted a subsidy for an additional Plunket nurse,, and it was hoped that a nurse would be available for the Birkenhead district at an early date. In the meantime Birkenhead mothers would continue to attend the Plunket rooms at Northcote. Mr. Henry Hay;vvard was thanked for the contribution of £6 19s toward .the funds, the proceeds of the recent benefit picture entertainment. The convener,' Mrs C. W. Inwards, reported that 35 members were enrolled in ' the Truby King Junior League.
