Sir, —Old England would naturally be consulted about a new name for these Islands, the most distant and for that reason no doubt the dearest of her offspring. As we shall be of age soon can we more appropriately show our affection for the Motherland than by asking her to call this lonely child "New England"? J. A. Burnett.
