NEW SUPPLY LINE PLANNED <.* » ' [BY TELEGRAM —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Thursday To increaso the supply of hydroelectric power in the Bay of Plenty district the Public Works Department proposes to build during tlio coining year u new power lino from Arapuni, which will carry current at> 110,000 volts into tho Bay of Plenty Power Board's area. At present this area is served by a 50,000-volt transmission line, with sub-stations at Opotiki and Edgocumbo. Tho new line is part of an interconnecting schemo which will enable power from both Arapuni and Waikaremoana to bo utilised on tho general system by means of a transmission lino through tho TJrowora Country.
