SANDRINGHAM EVENING

CALEDONIAN INGLESIDE More than 150 members and friends of the Sandringham Caledonian Society were present in the Carlton Hall on Saturday night, when the monthly inclositle was held. The chief, Mr. W. D. Fulton, who was> piped to the platform by the society's piper, Mr. i). Fox, extended a welcome to the representatives of the other kindred societies present. The chief presented several of the trophies and medals won by contestants at the society's Highland dancing and piping competitions in the autumn. The silver cup donated for piping was presented to Mr. D. Fox, and Mr. J. McLaughlan, the runner-up. received a medal.

The programme was contributed to by Mrs. Laurie, who sang Scottish songs, and Mr. and Mrs. H. Burnett, who gave a humorous sketch. The accompaniments were played by Miss Goodsir. National dancing exhibitions were given by pupils of Mrs. McAnemy, the piping accompaniments being played bv Mr. Fox. The dance programme was directed by Mr. J. McTavisb, chieftain. Supper was served by the ladies' committee, comprising Mesdames Fulton. L. Stuart, M. McTavish, J). McEwan. W. Freeman, R. Riddell, R. Coombes, J. Stewart, H. Pickering, R. Kelly, W. Fletcher, W. McCrae and R. McLean
