CONTEST THIS EVENING BISHOP TO MEET MARTIN To-night at the Auckland Town Hall Herb Bishop, junior welter-weight champion of Australia, will meet Billy Martin in a boxing contest scheduled to bo of 12 threeminute rounds. Bishop comes to Auckland with a reputation of a hard-hitting fighter and he is expected to more than extend the crafty and versatile Martin. Both men are in excellent condition and the match promises lo be of unusual interest, in that a very clever boxer-fighter will be meeting a determined hard-puncher whoso spectacular forcing tactics have placed him at tho top of his division in Australia. Braddock, who is ;it his training camp at Grandbeach, Michigan, had a round to-dny with each of his five sparring partners, leaving etx'h with aching bodies. He has been exercising with five miles of road work and a few boles of golf this week, lie concentrated on body attacks, indicating his intention of depending heavily on that stylo in his bout against Louis. Brnddock's footwork was excellent and be appeared fresh after his work-out. Five more drills will complete the champion's preparation.
