TOWN ENGULFED DISASTER IN MEXICO BURSTING OF A DAM AVALANCHE OF MUD HUNDREDS OF VICTIMS By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received May 28, 6.5 p.m.) MEXICO CITY. May 27 Thirty-two bodieß have been recovered and many more people are missing as the result of the collapse of a dam, which caused the town of Tlalpujahua to be buried under 3,000,000 tons of slag and mud. This debris came from the metal and cyanide workings of the Dosestrellas Mining Company. Heavy rains bad overtaxed the dam. Seven hundred dwellings -were engulfed when the inhabitants were asleep at three o'clock in the morning. Two thousand miners are searching among the cjebris for other bodies by the light of lanterns. Townspeople who fled to the mountains when the town was overwhelmed have now returned to help in the search. Many families have reported that members are missing and as a result it is estimated that possibly 500 people have lost their lives.
