MORPJNSVILLE YALUES KEEN DEMAND FOR SHEEP CATTLE MARKET UNCHANGED The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports that at its weekly Morrinsville -''stock sale yesterday there was a medium entry of fat sheep, chiefly fat ewes. Competition was keen and a good sale resulted. Cattle. —A medium entry of ox beef, mostly unfinished cattle, the market for this class showing no variation on last sale's quotations. Only a small proportion of good quality cow and heifer beef was penned, with competition good and prices again firm. A heavy yarding of boners and second-quality fat cows came forward, with exporters again operating freely. Potter bulls were also .in keen demand. The advertised entry of store cattle did not attract as much competition as anticipated and sales were hard to make, the majority of the cows failing to reach vendors' reserves. There was a full yarding of dairy cattle, including the advertised herd of K7 Jersey and Friesan-cross cows offered on account of Mr. J. H. Page, of Tahuna Road, Morrinsville. The cattle came forward in good condition and met a good inquiry. Values compared most favourably with recent clearing sale rates. TE PUKE OFFERINGS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] " TE PUKE, Friday The Farmers' Co-operating Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports having held its fortnightly sale, together with an annual sale, at Te Puke. A good yarding of all classes of stock cftine forward, particularly in the dairy section. Dairy cows and heifers sold at very satisfactory figures. Fat cows, of which there was only a medium yarding, showed a tendency to ease in value, but store cows and boners realised good prices. Pigs sold quite up to recent rates.
