BRIDGE EVENING HELD The first of a series of four-pairs bridge evenings was held by the members of the Devonport Tennis Club in the bowlers' pavilion, on Wednesday night. The president, Dr. F. 0. Pope, and Mrs. Pope, received the guests. The prize-winners were: Highest scores, Mr. Bates and Mr. Amsbnrv; hidden numbers, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Kelly. Supper was served by the ladies' social committee which comprised: Mrs. E. Svensen, Mrs, R. Hogan, Mrs. A. B. Downing, Mrs. V. McGregor, Mrs. Owen Kelly, Miss M. Mason, Miss Beatrice Lowe, Miss Madge Alison, Miss K. Harty, Miss Joyce Gooding. Among those present were: —Mrs. K. Penrose, Mrs. J. O'Brien, Mrs. J. Renddv, Mrs. J. Williams, Mrs. M.
