PRISON ENTERTAINMENT
A coricert party visited the Mount Eden Prison on Tuesday and provided a varied entertainment which appeared to be greatly enjoyed. The items were: —Songs by Miss Gladys Barton, Mrs. David McLaren, Mrs. F. H. Hobday, Mr. E. W. Bobbins and Mr. Douglas Sinclair; monologues by Mrs. F. C. Webster and Miss Mary . Pilkington; tap dancing by Miss Pita Naylor; mouth organ solos by Mr. Clarence Campbell. Mrs. E. W. Bobbins was the accompanist. Mouth, organ and piano-accordeon bands gave several popular numbers, and community singing was led by Miss Gladys Barton. At the conclusion, an official proposed a vote of thanks on behalf of the superintendent and men, the latter responding beartily with musical hdnours.
