ZINC CORPORATION YEAR'S DIVIDEND HIGHER 60 PER CENT TO ORDINARIES [BV TET.KGRAPH I'HESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday The directors of Zinc; Corporation, Limited, Melbourne and London, have declared a participating dividend of 3s 6d a share on both preference and ordinary shares, loss English income tax of .'ls in the pound, making a total participating dividend of 6s a share for the year ended December 31, 1930. In addition, the first half of the fixed cumulative dividend of 2s a share on preference shares for the year ending December 31, 1937, has been declared, less English income tax of 2s lOd in the pound. Both dividends will be paid on Julv 1, 1937, in English currency The company's preference shares of £1 eacli receive a fixed dividend of 4s a share, payable 2s in January and 2s in July. Jn addition they participate in surplus profits with the ordinary shares of ]os each. The payment on ordinary shares of (3s, less tax, for 193G, is equal to 60 per cent, and compares with 4s 6d a share, equal to 45 per cent, for 1935. The dividend, on preference shares for 1936 is 50 per cent, against 42J per cent for 1935.
