DOMINION'S PROGRESS
APPEAL FOR CO-OPERATION THE GOVERNMENT'S DESIRE [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] DANNEVIBKE. Friday In an address at the inter-provincial conference of the Farmers' Union yesterday the . acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, assured delegates that the Government desired the complete co-operation of farmers and all sections of industry in their endeavour to further the progress of the Dominion. The Government, he said, intended to honour their promises as far as humanly possible. The Minister said that all sections of the people should work amicably together for the betterment of the country as a whole. There had to be an absence of antagonism and people had to. endeavour to become members of one brotherhood, as desired by St. Paul. It was the desire of the Government that no one section of the People should benefit at the expense of any other section. They wanted all to share in the general prosperity of the country .and the distribution of the Wealth of the country The Government wanted to see everyone adequately recompensed for their industry. There might be room for a serious and honest difference of opinion as to the measures adopted by the Government, but it would at all times be filling to give serious consideration t° any proposals which would he an improvement t upon the present measures, particularly in relation to guarahteed Prices. It would be disastrous for the country jf there was antagonism between various sections of the people, , " as essential that all should amicably in the best interests of tne country as a whole.
