L ' • : V" GREAT HELP BY REGISTRAR MR. M. R. O'SHEA FAREWELLED The assistance which had been given to the Auckland University College Students' Associatiqn by the registrar, Mr. M. R. O'Shea, who recently resigned to take up the position of secretary to the New Zealand Manufacturers' Association, was eulogised at a meeting of the Students' Association on Thursday night. There was a large attendance of students. As a mark of the esteem in which Mr. O'Shea was held a presentation of a set of silver spoons engraved with the college badge was made to him.
All the good work which Mr. O'Shea had done was not generally known, said the president of the association, Mr. A. P. Blair, in' Snaking the presentation. Great help had always been given to the students by Mr. 0 Shea. Appreciation of the registrar's ser- . vices was mentioned by Mr. A. PPostlewaite, who. moved that his work be recorded permanently. Postlewaite added that it spofce mucli for Mr. O'Shea's personality that bp had been able to command throughout the 14 years he had been at the college the respoct of every student.
