SHOW ASSOCIATION
ACTIVITIES IN HAMILTON DUPLICATION IN DATES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday The suggestion that a poultry section should be included in the next show, on October 29 and 30, was received from the Waikato branch of the New Zealand Poultry Federation at to-day's meeting of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Members were of the opinion that poultry exhibits would be quite an attraction, and decided to ask representatives of the local branch to attend the next meeting of the association. Advice was received that the Carterton Show Association was complaining that the Waikato Association had chosen the same dates for its show. "There are so many shows that we are bound to clash with someone," said the secretary, Mr. W. L. Pan stead. "If we alter our dates we will only clash with someone else." It was stated that neither association would be robbing the other of exhibits, and it was decided to retain the dates already fixed. A donation of £3 3s was made to the King George Y. Memorial Fund. The president, Mr, P. A. Hinton, and the secretary, Mr. Ranstead, were appointed delegates to the annual meeting of the council of the Royal Show Society, to be held in Wellington on June 23.
