Semple, by the Opotiki Borough Council during his visit to Opotiki were for assistance in checking erosion by the Otara Kiver and for a bridge giving access to the beach from the town. The Minister agreed that the erosion was serious. He agreed to finance half the cost of an engineer to make a survey.
