BUTCHER'S KNIFE SLIPS

[nv telegraph—own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday A severe wound on the thigh was received this afternoon by Mr. Anthony Thomas, a butcher, employed by Mr. E. J. Parkes, in Bank Street, when a knife slipped while he was engaged in cutting meat. He was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital and several stitches were inserted in the wound. His condition is not serious.
