FOOD STOLEN
FINE IMPOSED ON COOK A charge of stealing a quantity of ■pork, bacon, sausages and three carrots valued at 7s 8d was admitted by Allan William Dyson, aged 38, cook, who appeared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court, yesterday. Sub-Inspector Fox said the accused s employer, Frank Makin Whitehead, cafe proprietor, had been missing articles for some time. The place was watched and at 7.40 p.m. on May lo accused was seen with a suitcase containing articles which he admitted he had stolen. , . , , A fine of £2 was imposed, in default three days' imprisonment.
