DUNEDIN BENEFACTOR £3OOO FOR HOSPITAL BLOCK GIFTS NOW TOTAL £IB,OOO [by TELHGKArH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] DUNEDIN", Tuesday A Duncdin citizen, Mr. Samuel Saltzman, of Dunedin, who has made numerous public benefactions during the past few years, has now made a gift of £3OOO to the South Otago Hospital Board toward the cost of erecting a tuberculosis block at the Balclutha Hospital. When confirmation of the offer was received at a meeting of the board to-day, a resolution was carried expressing deep gratitude for the generous donation. Mr. Saltzman s gifts to hospitals and other social services now amount to about £IB,OOO.
