NAVAL BOARD FLAG
KING APPROVES DESIGN [liv TRLKCll.\l'll PRKSS association] WELLINGTON. Tuesday' The King has approved the design of a flag to be flown by the New Zealand Naval Board, which was constituted in 1921 to administer the affairs of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. The design consists of the Admiralty anchor in gold placed horizontally on a ground of red and blue bisected vertically, with the red portion nearest the staff and the blue in the fly. It differs in this respect from the Admiralty flag, which consists of a golden anchor on a plain red field. The New Zealand Naval Board 1 flag will be entitled to a salute of 15 guns on the same occasions as are specified for the Board of Admiralty in the King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions.
