WHANGAREI SEEKS £25,000 [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] WHANGAREI. Tuesday "Money is hard to secure at per cent from brokers just now and the board might have difficulty in this direction," said Mr. J. G.. Barclay, M.P., at yesterday's 'meeting of the Wliangarei Hospital Board, when advice was received from the. Local Bodies Loans Board that approval had been granted for the raising of a £25,000 loan for additions and alterations to the hospital buildings. Mr. Barclay said that the best opportunity to obtain the money was through the Government lending institutions, whose lending abilities, however, were restricted to their cash reserves. It was decided to endeavour to raise the money as soon as the approval of the Health* Department and P ibhc Works Department had been obtained for the plans.
