EVENT AT WHANGAREI [FROM OUl'. OWN CORRESPONDENT | WHANGAREI, Tuesday The Whangarei Harrier Club held its first long-distanco event during the week-end, a course of eight miles being covered. A race of 100 yard b was also held. The following are the results; —Slow pack: W. Abel (59m QOs), I; F. MacDermott, 2. Fast pack: M. Banks MBm 20s), 1; M. Nass (48m 40s) 2: L. McDcath (10m 20s), 3. lOO.vds: M. Nass, 1; M. Banks, 2; K. MacDermott. 3.
