FREIGHT RATES
Sir, —In Friday's Herald a cable report states that the Australian acting-Prime Minister has signed contracts with shipping companies at reduced freight rates, thus saving the producers £500,000 a year for three years. Is it not a fact that our Minister, Mr. Nash, also completed contracts for freights, at an increase of 2i per cent? 1 think the above will need a little explaining (to the farmers whom this Government is helping) when Mr. Nash returns. .Disgusted.
