SPINSTERS' BALL
FUNCTION AT MARUA r ■' .■ Many visitors and a great many of the local residents attended the Spinsters' Ball which was held at Marua recently. The floor arrangements were in charge of Miss Audrey Swinbourne who wore scarlet velvet and taffetas; Miss V. Rigden in lemon floral crepe and Miss Clara Steele in lemon taffetas.
Among those present were: Mrs. M. Langman, Mrs. R. McDonald, Mrs. L. Swinbourne, Mrs. W. Low, Mrs. G. Dickson, Mrs. Rigden, Mrs. O. C. Godfrey, Mrs. McLean, Miss E. Claris, Miss Narine Swinbourne, Miss W. McLennan, Miss G. Smeath, Miss R. Johnston, Miss J. Claris, Miss M. Bryden, Miss Phyllis Lee, Miss M. Skipper, Miss Y. Beere, Miss E. Neale. Miss F.
