COMPETITION AT WAIHOU The Fanners' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports having held a sale at Waihon, when a heavy yarding of all classes of cattle came forward. For fat cows and heifers competition remained firm at late quotations, while a heavy yarding of boner cows sold firmly, values showing a slight improvement on last sale quotations. A number of Jersey calves sold well. A good yarding of sheep comprised chiefly the advertised entrv of fat lambs. Competition was firm for all classes and values compared favourably with Frankton rates. A full yarding of fat pigs .-acne forward, with a moderate entry of stores and weaners. A number of sows to farrow weie also yarded, and ail changed hands. Competition for fat pigs was keen and prices on a par with late Frankton rates. Stores and weaners sold at late quotations.
