WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
FOOTBALL} CHAMPIONSHIPS MANY FIXTURES ARRANGED Winter sports are now in full swing and a wide variety of fixtures arranged for to-day should provide enjoyment for both player and spectator. The Auckland Rugby season will be continued, when. the third series of the first round of the Rugby Union's senior championship will be played, two of the principal matches being at Kden Park. The senior championship of the Auckland Rugby League will be continued at Carlaw Park, four matches to bo decided. The main Association football attraction should be the meeting of Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys and Comrades at Blandford Park.
Some interesting hockey matches should be seen at the Remuera hockey grounds, ivhen the second series of games will be , played. Many of the suburban cycling and athletic clubs have arranged meetings for to-day and the harrier centre of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Association will hold its opening run of the season at Devonport. A number of basketball games have been set down to be played on the various grounds. Winter bowlinecompetitions will be held on many city and suburban greens.
