OLD SKELETON FOUND
EXCAVATIONS AT HAMILTON •[from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday A complete human skeleton has been found on a property in McFarlane Street, Hamilton East, where excavations are in progress. The skeleton was in pieces, but the bones were in fairly good condition and a full set of teeth was in perfect order. It is thought the remains are those of a Maori warrior who probably lost his life during the war in the Waikato Had the body been that of a chieftain it would have been buried in a Maori cemetery. The bones will probably be interred in tin- Hamilton 10 a s< Cemet'erv.
