STRUCK BY TRAMCAR

ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED VISITOR TO AUCKLAND Knocked down by a tramcar in Queen Street about 4 p'clock yesterday afternoon, Mrs. A. Morris, aged 71, a resident of Gisborne, who was staying at 220 Blockhouse Bay Rdad, Avondale, suffered concussion and head injuries. The accident occurred near the intersection of Durham Street, the tram being bound for Avondale. Mrs. Morris was thrown heavily to the ground, and when the tram stopped she was lying across the rails m front of it. The injured woman was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St.- John ambulance. Her condition last night was reported to be fairly serious.
