STATE CEREMONY
WELLINGTON SERVICE LORD GALWAY TO SPEAK REPRESENTATIVE GATHERING [by TELEGRAPH —OWN' correspondent]] WELL! NO TON, Thursday The arrangements for the official ceremony in the grounds of Parliament House on Coronation Day were announced to-day. They provide for the State, the churches and tbe general body of citizens combining to pay homage to Their Majesties in prayer, song and manaifestation of their loyalty, regard and affection for the Throne. The gathering, with the picturesque setting the Parliamentary grounds and environs will provide for the occasion, should be an impressive and memorable one. The ten military units in the district, together with the Wellington division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, members of the New Zealand Air Force and returned soldiers and sailors, are to parade in front of the Wellington Citizens' War Memorial. His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Galway, is to arrive at the AVar Memorial at 10.35 a.m. He will inspect the parade, after which ho will proceed to the steps of Parliament House, where the ceremony is to begin at 11 a.m. Order of Proceedings The proceedings in the Parliamentary grounds will open with a hvmn with a band accompaniment by the Salvatiou Army Band. There will then be an introduction by the Right Rev. Bishop of Aotearoa, Bishop Bennett, after which there will be a Scripture reading by Rabbi S. Katz. Next will come a prayer by the Rev. D. D. Scott, representing the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Now Zealand, and then a Scripture reading by the Rev. L. J. Boulton Smith, representing the Council of Churches.
Three addresses will follow. The first will be by Lord Galway, the second by the acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Eraser, and tlio third by the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. T. C." A. Hi si op. A prayer will be offered by the Bishop of Wellington, the Right Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, who will also pronounce the Benediction, which will be followed by the first verse of the National Anthem. At the conclusion of the verso of the National Anthem the GovernorGeneral will call for three cheers for Their Majesties. A Royal Salute will be fired by the battery at Point Jerningham, and there will be a march-past of troops. They will salute as they pass the steps. As His Excellency is leaving he will be given the customary Royal Salute by the guard of honour. The service is expected to over by mid-day. When the troops leave the Parliamentary grounds they will salute the War Memorial.
