COOKS' UNION SECRETARY
[by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Monday The result of the recent ballot for the position of general secretary to the Federated Cooks and Stewards' Union of New Zealand was announced at a meeting of tlio union in Wellington to-night. The successful candidate was Mr. W. P. Walsh. There were two nominations for the position. Mr. Walsh received 906 votes and Mr. A. E. Hardymant 7. There were three informal votes.
