ALLEGED TREASON

CATHOLICS FOUND GUILTY FARCICAL BERLIN TRIAL BERLIN, April 28 Four of the seven Roman Catholics, whoso trial for treason, and for being supporters of the United Communist Catholic Front, opened on April 7, were convigted. Father Rossaint, of Dusseklorf, was sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment and the other three to lesser terms. The remaining three men were acquitted. It was a farcical trial, with the decision a foregone conclusion, the president being hostile throughout. The president, in summing up, said: "The welfare of the people is the supreme law, Anyone who dares to touch the outward form of the community of German people is guilty of the worst crime."
