NEW CIVIL LIST r " COMMITTEE'S REPORT SCALE OF ALLOWANCES £6OOO FOR PRINCESS Uy Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received April 20, 8.25 p.m.) LONDON, April 29 The political correspondent of the Daily Mail says a special allowance of at least £6OOO a year for Princess Elizabeth until she comes of age, and an increased allowance for the Duko of Gloucester (at present receiving £25,000 a year) in recognition of the extra duties ho has to perform in the absence of a Prince of Wales, are among the recommendations of the Select Committee on the new Civil List. Its report is now completed. The Queen and Queen Mary will each receive allowances of £70,000 a year. Other recommendations follow closely the provisions made for the Royal Family in the reign of George V. The report contains no references to any allowance for the Duke of Windsor.
