"FIRE-WALKING" TESTS
ENGLISH INVESTIGATION LONDONERS FOLLOW INDIAN LONDON. April 9 The ancient mystery of "fire-walk-ing" was blown out in tests which have been carried out in Surrey under the supervision of the London University Council of Psychical Investigation. Ahmed Hussain, an Indian "firewalker," after intoning a long prayer, walked barefoot along a trench filled with glowing wood and charcoal, heated to 750 degrees centigrade. Hussain's feet were mildly blistered. Three young London men followed. They were burned slightly, but more' severely than Hussain. Mr. Harry Price, who was in charge of the investigation, said the only secret of "fire-walking" is technique.
