RAILWAY EXTENSION
TANEATUA TO OPOTIKI PROMISE WILL BE HONOURED [by telegraph—own correspondent] WHAKATANE, Sunday Residents of Opotiki and those along the route of the proposed TaneatuaOpotiki extension of tho East Coast railway line have urged that the Prime Minister, the Pt. Hon. M. J. Savage, should redeem his promise to complete the line to Opotiki. Mr. A. G. Hultquist, M.P. for Bay of Plenty, has received the following message;— "You may assure your constituents that promises made by me will be honoured in full, and that a start will be made on the Taneatua-Opotiki railway as soon as more urgent matters have been disposed of."
