FISHING AT TAUPO
DISAPPOINTING SPORT WET AND WINDY WEATHER [jtY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRKSroXDENT] TAUrO, Sunday Disappointing sport has boon experienced by fishing parties at Lake Taupo during Easter, mainly on account of oppressive and unsettled weather. It has been sultry since last Wednesday and the fish will not rise readily. Rain started to-day, when a northerly gale prevailed. Before the holidays good catches were reported daily, but the fishing since Friday has been very poor. Eight (ish were landed by one angler yesterday, the largest weighing 81b. and the lightest about 61b. This constituted the beet catch so far for the Easter period. Only Hy fishing has been successful. Several camping parties have been tryi/ig their luck at Waihaha, Whangamata and Whaikapo, but their reports are not yet available. One party had no luck at all at Four Mile Bay, where last Wednesday a visitor took a I-llb. trout with a Hy from a boat.
