WEDDINGS

MARSH—GRACE A marriage of New Zealand interest was celebrated at St. Saviour's Church, Hrockenhnrst, England, recently between Lieutenant Richard Lovatt Haslam Marsh, K.X., and -Miss Helen Grace. The bride is the younger daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel H. G. Grace, of His .Majesty's Bodyguard, and Mrs. Grace, of Thornby, Hrockenhnrst, and the bridegroom is the eldest son of Brigadier-General E. G. .Marsh, of Pinewood, Honlle. The bride's family have been resident in Brockenhurst for the past, five years and the bride li«as taken an active interest in many local social organisations. The bridegroom lias been in the Navy for about 12 years. The ceremony was performed bv Canon H. Marsh, Hector of Chilbolton (uncle of the bridegroom), assisted by the vicar of Brockenhurst; the Rev. \Y. A. Haslam. The service was fully choral. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful gown of gold lame made with a square train, trimmed with tiny bunches of orange blossom. A tiara of orange blossoms and blue crystal leaves held the tulle veil in place, and she carried a sheaf of cream (lowers. The train was carried by her two cousins, Colin and Malcolm Macdonald, wearing the Macdonald kilt.

The bridesmaids wore Miss Monica Grace (sister), Miss Elizabeth and Miss Patience Marsh (sisters of the bridegroom), Miss Gila Macdonald (the

l>ride's cousin) and Miss Barbara Allott. They wore redingote frocks of 1)1 ue shot taffetas, with turned-down collars, and large gold filigree buttons down the front, the coats opening at the waists to reveal golden underskirts. High caps of taffetas to match trimmed in front with blue feathers were also worn, and they carried sheaves of tulips. Mr. Heiirv Marsh. Middlesex Regiment (brother of the bridegroom) was best man. BROMHFAD —LUDLOW The wedding took place at Solihull on February '22 of Frank Harold Brombead. of Wellington (formerly of Chesterfield, Derbyshire). and Judith, daughter of Brigadier-General Sir Walter and Ladv Ludlow, of Lovelace Hill, Solihull.
