PROGRESS AT REMUERA The remarkable progress of the Remuera Golf C'lub since its inception was referred to by the president. Dr. E. 11. B. Milsom, when addressing members at the second annual meeting. Early in the summer, lie said, it had been decided to continue the construction of u second ccmrso and he congratulated Mr. W. S. Ralph, who is in charge of the work, on the progress made and the excellence of design. Ten new greens had been laid down and an 3 8-holes course, which should compare favourably with anything in Auckland, will bo available for members next season, leaving most of the present lay-out for visitors and beginners. KAITAIA CLUB [by telegraph—own cohrespondent] KATTAIA, Friday Thete was a large attendance of members at tho annual meeting of tho Kaitaia Golf Club. The balance-sheet and statement' of receipts and expenditure showed a satisfactory position. The membership last year showed a healthy increase and from present indications should continue at about last season's level. The following officers were elected for the coming year:—Patron, Mr. J. NORTHERN WAIROA CLUB [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DARG A VILLE, Friday To meet tho cost of better facilities and higher wages a decision to increase members' subscriptions was made at tho annual meeting of tho Xorthern Wairoa Golf Club. The president, Dr. M. Greville, said it was impossible to maintain an 38-hole course for the same amount as a nine-hole course. In addition, Government legislation required the payment of increased wages, estimated at about £l5O. Officers were elected as follows:—Patron, Mr. A. iE. Harding; president, Dr. M. The report and balance-sheet disclosed a most successful season, the profit being £ll2. The success was largely duo to tho construction of an IS-hole course and this year improvements will be made to tho clubhouse. Over 50 new members were elected. Mr. A. C. Lamb was elected a life member in recognition of his srviccs to the club. Opening day was fixed for April 3. The following officers were elected:—President, Dr. H. F. Buckley; vice-president, Mr. L.
