Waihou secured an early advantage of two goals, but Glen Murrfiy recovered well and won by 4 goals to '2. Tlio members of tho winning team wero Edward Allen, C. Gaskelt, D. K. Maloney and Eseourt Allen. 1 u (lie first chukka Shnlluo and Klaus scored for Waihou, but, well mounted and displaying superior combination, Glen Murray took the lead .'{—'2 at the close of tlio fourth spell. The same match determined ii contest in the third round of tho handicap cup, Glen Murray, on tho adjusted scores, lending Waihou by l> goals to 8. Required 1u overcome ii handicap difference of four goals, Waihou A scored only one goal more than Matangi B and was eliminated in the third round of the handicap cup by 11 goals to 8. In the remaining handicap game, Malanuita A (three handicap) overwhelmed Cambridge B (five handicap) and won by If) goals to 5. A noncompetition match between Waerenga B and Waihou B resulted in a win for Waerenga by 7 goals to 0.
Tho handicap tup competition will be continued to-morrow morning, and in the afternoon, in conjunction with the Easter carnival at Claudelands, a ladies' match will be placed between Matangi and Waimai.
