CARS IN COLLISION
WOMAN PASSENGER HURT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday Head and shoulder injuries were received by Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Middlebrook, aged 44, when a car driven by her husband, Mr. V. N. Middlebrook, butcher, of Te Awamutu, was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the Main South Road near. Rukuliia. The accident occurred at a bend in the road about five miles south of Hamilton. Mr. Middlebrook's car left tho road after the impact and came to rest in the water-table considerably damaged. The other car, which was driven by Mr. W. Galpin, of Hamilton, did not suffer extensive damage, and the driver escaped injury. Mrs. Middlebrook was conveyed to tne Waikato Hospital in a St. John ambulance. MISHAP NEAR PUKEKOHE AUCKLAND MOTORISTS HURT ["by telegraph—own correspondent] PUKEKOHE. Friday A large sedan motor-car collided with a smaller sedan this morning about a mile south of tho Bombay-Pukekoho Rond intersection with the Great South Road. Tho large car was driven by Mr. It. C. Mann, of 8 East Street, Hamilton, and the small car by Mr L. U. Q„i!r,r, of 4 Enfield Street, Mount EdenT The front of the smaller car was badly damaged, and Mr. Quigg had bones in one hand broken, and also suffered facial abrasions and a cut on tho thigh. He had with him ra the car Miss Iris Evans, of 11 Russell Street, Ponsonbv, who suffered a broken nose and shock. Mr. Mann and his wife, who were the only occupants of the larger car, escaped injury. Dr A, T. Begg, of Pukekohe, attended to the injured, who were later taken to their homes m a private car.
