TEACHERS ATTACKED

PARENTS OF CHILDREN "STRIKE" ON IRISH ISLAND DUBLIN, March 10 Gangster methods have entered into a "strike" of parents on Achill Island, County Mayo, against the teachers at the district school. The trouble originated because of the teachers' refusal to prepare meals for the children. Parents, aided by their children, now lie in ambush and rush the school in an attempt to capture the teachers, four of whom have left the island for fear of these attacks, in spite of increased police protection. So far, nine teachers and parents have been injured, and the schoolhouse has been considerably damaged.
