The exchange premium on dividends payable in sterling is included. The yield on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption, and on 3J per cent loans is for interest alone, covering only the tax-free period.

Waihi Investments reflected recent strength in a sale Is higher at 15s 9d. Marthas, however, were easier. Mount Lyells again advanced, but values for Mount Morgans eased. Burgin, in the House of Commons to-day, on behalf of the board, declined to accept a suggestion that the quota regulation of iron and steel imports should bo suspended, in view of the shortage of iron and steel in industry.
