FURTHER ANNUAL MEETINGS PONSONBY CLUB'S SUCCESSES There was a large attendance of players and supporters at the annual meeting of the Ponsonby Rugby Footbal} Club. Thirty new members were ©lected. The president, Mr. T. Aitken. referred to the sound financial position of the club He congratulated the senior iteam on its triple win of the Gallaher Shield, Jubilee Trophy and the grand championship. The second jzrrade team won the knock-out competition in its grade and also finished anion? the i leaders in the grade championship. All other * junior teams performed with credit. Mr T. Aitken. who was re-elected as president for the 30th time, presented to the club a framed photograph of last years senior team in recognition of its fine performances. He also presented a wallet to W. N. Carson, a member of the I* ew Zealand touring cricket team. On behalf of fellow members, Mr. Aitken wished Carson every success. » , Members of the senior team were presented with the cap* won during last season.

j UNIVERSITY CLUB A sound position was revealed by the report and balance-sheet presented at the anneal meeting of the University Rugby Football Club last evening.
