AUSTRALIAN AIRCRAFT
DEFENCE OF DOMINIONS AID TO BRITISH FACTORIES (Received March 7, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 7 The' Melbourno correspondent of the Sunflay Sun says the Fishermen's Bend aircraft factory may be called upon to supply aeroplanes for defence in India, South Africa and New Zealand, as well as in Australia if the British aircraft factories cannot meet the rush of defence orders during the next year or two. It is stated authoritatively that this is one of the reasons why every effort is being made to push ahead with the plans for the early production of aeroplanes at Fishermen's Bend. The first of these will be turned out before the end of the year.
