1,290.000 LAST YEAR ; AUTHORITIES NOT SATISFIED (Received March 5. 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN, March 4 Official statistics show that 1,290,000 Jbabies were born in Germany last year, tor 20,000 more than in 1935 and 300,000 more than in 1933. Nevertheless the are disappointed with the results of the "larger families" campaign, for the 1936 total represents only .19.1 per 1000 of the population, whereas ,the rate in 1920 was 25.9 per 1000. The new criminal code provides penalities for- advocates of a limitation of families and imprisonment for corespondents and persons guilty of ;adultery.
